FIONA EMMOTT
My interest lies in the interrogation of the everyday and the illusory effects of light. I try to challenge perception of the ordinary and mundane. By utilizing ubiquitous subject matter and engaging light to produce shadows and reflections I aim to find unexpected qualities inherent within these abstractions. I hope to have produced images tending towards the contemplative and to have created an a esthetic removed from its commonplace source. My work involves both the contemporary, by way of digital prints and the traditional, by way of etching.
