IAN SCAIFE
Statement
I am interested in exploring the interaction between shape and colour; my work
is often inspired by the synthetic colours and forms of manufactured objects,
and by industrial processes. My screenprints are produced using paper stencils,
a process which appeals to me for it's boldness and simplicity. My digital prints
explore similar themes with the difference that they are produced on an Apple
Mac using Adobe llustrator, which allows free experimentation with a variety of
colour and shape combinations.

Studied Fine Art at Liverpool College of Art, graduated with a BA in1983
